You are standing in the midst of greenish water and long-leaved water plants near the south edge of the swamp.

The water plants that comprise the majority of the swamp give way here to nasty-smelling water covered with green algae.

On the far side of the algae is a dense thicket of tangled plants that doesn't appear to provide any way to progress further south.

The water here smells strongly as if something in it is rotting.

To the north, you can see more long-leaved water plants and a single bright purple flower.

To the west, along the edge of the swamp, you can see grass and a few brightly colored flowers.

To the east, along the edge of the swamp, you can see greenish water and more long-leaved water plants. In the far distance, you can see green water and a dense thicket.

To the south, your way is blocked by green water and a dense thicket.
