You are standing in the midst of greenish water and long-leaved water plants near the east edge of the swamp.

The water plants that comprise the majority of the swamp give way here to nasty-smelling water covered with green algae.

On the far side of the algae is a dense thicket of tangled plants that doesn't appear to provide any way to progress further east.

The water here smells strongly as if something in it is rotting.

To the north, along the edge of the swamp, you can see greenish water and more long-leaved water plants.

To the west, you can see more long-leaved water plants and many bright pink flowers.

To the east, your way is blocked by green water and a dense thicket.

To the south, along the edge of the swamp, you can see greenish water and more long-leaved water plants.
